Pre-licence disclosure
Clara is building toward a licensed specialist brokerage and insurance-market partnerships in the United States. Clara does not currently sell, solicit, negotiate, place, or bind insurance. The current service organizes company-provided risk information and generates educational readiness outputs; it is not insurance, legal, or regulatory advice.
Users of this service are account holders, not insurance clients, until a licensed pathway exists. A human reviewer — today, Lucas Barnes — reads submitted RISK.md and Insurance.md snapshots before a file is released to the account.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and have authority to provide information about the company you describe. Do not create an account for a company you are not authorized to represent.
The service
Clara provides a persistent account: a living RISK.md record and, when you ask, a generated Insurance.md queued for human review. Membership is open. Release of generated files is closed until a reviewer acts. There is no waitlist and no quote, binder, or placement.
Acceptable use
You may not use Clara to store malware, to upload other people’s confidential information without authority, or to attempt to bypass review, tenant isolation, rate limits, or authentication. You may not probe another account’s data. You may not present Clara outputs as a policy, quote, or coverage opinion.
Intellectual property
You own your inputs and the exports generated from them. Clara owns the interview, renderer, user interface, schemas, and the Clara name and design. You grant Clara a limited licence to store, process, and display your inputs in order to provide the service, including human review of submitted snapshots.
No professional advice
Outputs list facts you supplied and questions that remain open. They do not state whether coverage would respond, whether you are adequately insured, or what you should buy. They are not legal, tax, or licensed insurance advice.
Human review
Generate Insurance.md queues a file. Nothing is emailed or shown as released until a reviewer reads it. The reviewer may release the file, ask for more information, or reject it. Reviewer edits are still bounded by Clara’s prohibited-claim rules.
Availability
Clara is provided as-is. There is no service-level agreement in this version. We may pause new generation, change the interview, or take the service offline for maintenance or security.
Termination and deletion
You may delete the workspace in the product by typing DELETE. Clara will then remove tenant rows and email a deletion confirmation to the address on the membership. Clara may also delete an inactive workspace after notice as described in the privacy notice. Clara may suspend an account that violates these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lucas Barnes and Clara are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from the service or from reliance on generated files. Aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Ontario law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is published at clarainsure.com/legal/terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be dated on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. English is the governing language.
